Asmara was founded in 1991 by an Indonesian-English husband and wife team. Originally focusing on swimwear and resort wear made from traditional batik printed fabrics, with a concept of creating ready to wear eclectic pieces and preserving Indonesian tradition. Skip forward to current day and we are still a family owned and operated business aiming to bring you a range of clothing in printed and plain fabrics with a bohemian and eclectic vibe. Complimenting our range of clothing are a selection of natural bags, accessories, authentic batik sarongs and leather goods. All our products are produced and sourced locally to support the local economy and artisans. We are also proud to be working with a print maker that uses a water recycling system, minimizing environmental impact.
